Below is a 2009 report on the activities of a Shamlicht Kids Club nest. A nest is its
smallest group, usually with five to 10 members. Not all clubs posted a report this
year, but they all had activities!
Purple Ferret's Nest
This year was a tricky year. Even in our small group we had quite an age/maturity
range, and coming up with activities that would interest all members wasn't always
easy!
After discussing it for quite a while, we changed the name of our chapter to reflect
the new name of Shamlicht Kids Club (or did we change to the proposed new name
Smagmoid Kids Club?)
We had some fun activities this years; here are some highlights.
We hid eggs in April for our second Erister Egg Hunt. This year we hid them on
school grounds, playgrounds, a park, and other public locations.
In October we had a costume-body painting session which was a lot of fun. We also
went trick or treating together.
In December we donated some toys to needy children.
