| Discordian Division of the Ek-sen-triks CluborGuild Snooze Letter January 2007 discordia.loveshade.org The “Exposure” Issue I This being part one of the two-part Exposure issue, in which a daughter of Robert Anton Wilson reveals the Truth on our blog, we illuminate what's happening with The Book, expose a plot to get Discordian Works removed from Wikipedia--again!, and the FBI makes a written confession in our investigation. ROBERT ANTON WILSON We already sent you, our fateful readers, information on Robert Anton Wilson, the "agnostic in all things" writer who popularized Discordianism and made Men in Black a household word before Smith and Jones made it a movie. Bob aka RAW aka Grandbob was born on Planet Earth 18 January 1932, and moved to Planet Eris 11 January 2007. We appreciate all who posted comments on our blog entry at loveshade.org/blog/2007/01/goodbye_raw_robert_anton_wilso.html, including RAW's daughter Christina. There are some posts there that are definitely well-worth reading, and we look forward to yours. You might also want to check out our tribute page at discordia.loveshade.org/xtra/raw.html. This not only contains links to background information, but a note about upcoming events to celebrate RAW, thanks to St. Mae. Someone suggested (or declared) there be a Discordian holyday for RAW on January 11 of each year. But as was pointed out by alert observer Binky The WonderSkull (not our Binky the WonderSkull, but a damn clever imitation), there already is a holyday that celebrates es birth. Pat Pineapple Day has been celebrated since 18 January 1982, which just happens to be the 50 birthday of RAW. Coincidence? Finally, there's a rumor or two circulating on the Internet in regard to any relationship between us and Bob. RAW's daughter Christina Pearson very kindly posted a response to a rumor on our blog. So in the spirit that Grandbob taught us, we categorically deny every rumor, and absolutely confirm that they are all true. EK-SEN-TRIK-KUH DISCORDIA: THE TALES OF SHAMLICHT WRITING ROUGH DRAFT FINISHED! The rough draft written portion of ED: TToS is done! Well, more or less. We are still revising, and still have a few blank spaces that we're hoping to get permission to fill with some great stuff, largely depending on acceptance by our fateful readers, i.e. you! (See the next Snooze Letter). As it happens, it didn't take the 5 years and 37 days that Cherub Princess Shamlicht tricked us into believing the rough draft would take, but only about a year and a half from the revelation on 2 July 2005 (Mid Year's Day) to its fulfillment on 21 December 2006 (the Winter/Summer Solstice). But as we said before, our Ministers of Degenerate Art, Princess Unicornia and Reverend Loveshade, are still looking for artwork. (Plus we fixed the links for Shamlicht Kids Club). WIKIPEDIA WARS: SAVE DISCORDIAN WORKS! Not long after an article on Discordian Works was posted on Wikipedia in June 2006, there was an effort to get the article removed. Thanks to support, the article stayed. Now, they're at it again. Do we want them to keep an article on Novus Ordo Discordia, A Discordian Coloring Book, and several others including, of course, Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia: The Tales of Shamlicht? The delete proposer claims "The works listed on this page are clearly not Discordian."
