Discordian Division of the Ek-sen-triks CluborGuild Snooze Letter June - August 2010 The 5 Years and 37 Days Issue discordia.loveshade.org This being the 5 Years and 37 Days Issue, in which we slap the flexible deadline for Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia: The Tales of Shamlicht, ask for your help with the book, uncover the identity of The Good Reverend Roger, tell about a new nest of Shamlicht Kids Club, examine Uncyclopedia, and report one of our family was injured in a collision under very Discordian circumstances. SUNDAY, 8 AUGUST 2010: FIVE YEARS AND 37 DAYS When I, Reverend Loveshade, recieved the vision to put together Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia: The Tales of Shamlicht on Mid Years Day, 2 July 2005, I was told it would take 5 years and 37 days, more or less. I didn't realize until very recently that 8 August 2010 was the 65th anniversary of the end of the war between America and Japan in 1945. One of our main contributors is the Japanese-American Fairy Princess Yoshikyoko. We have a quote by one of es relatives in the book about the bombing by America of Japan in August 1945, and it was added before any of us realized the connection. Nor did I know what would happen on that date. CHURCH DEACON CRASHES INTO ALDEN LOVESHADE This story gets weirder, so keep reading. Alden Loveshade tries as much as possible to stay out of our Snooze Letters, but we had to report this. On Sunday morning, 8 August, Alden was driving through Janus County, Texas (the county is real; the name isn't). Some of you may know many of our troubles happened in that very county. A truck that was at the side of the road suddenly started to make a U turn immediately in front of Alden. Our family member tried to avoid the truck, but as e said, "failed." Alden's vehicle was totalled, and e received bruises and such and a broken right finger. The deacon who was driving the other vehicle refused treatment (after a medic got the details from em). Here's where it gets really weird and yes, this is true. Alden was driving to meet a woman who was doing art for Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia: The Tales of Shamlicht. This woman had a dream the night before of Alden in a traffic collision. Collecting art for Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia: The Tales of Shamlicht on the scheduled date for completing the book in Janus County Texas and being hit by a deacon of a conservative Christian church while meeting an artist who just had a dream Alden would be in an accident. DISCORDIANISM ON UNCYCLOPEDIA The Uncyclopedia article Discordianism was on the way to becoming a featured article of the day--until The Agents of Greyface stepped in. It's been edited and has an excellent start, but needs work if it will ever make it to feature status. Check out the humorous adventure of Discordian Saint Minnie Rae in an article that paints takeoffs of leading Discordians in a most insulting manner, which we think is cool. Those who worked on it including Discordian American Princess Miley Spears, who is the illegitimate daughter of Cainad; and confessed Discordians Syndrome, Binky The WonderSkull, Aleister in Chains and others we suspect are closet Discordians. He's now known as Doc Howl. Apparently e's no longer the angry man cursing the stupidity of the world and telling people, "or kill me." Now e's howling as the world crumbles. Or something like that. SHAMLICHT KIDS CLUB HAS NEW NEST Yes, the Discordian Shamlicht Kids Club that was once a joke has a new nest. Calling themselves Triceratops Nest, the nestlers are Tyro Rex and Bronto and nestlings are Batly, Bumbalina, Quart and The Amazing CD. They're planning a trip to a waterpark in August as their first major event. We wish them well!
