Below is a 2008 report on the activities of a Shamlicht Kids Club nest.  A nest is its
smallest group, usually with five to 10 members.  Some of these reports were made
before the end of the year, so may be incomplete.

Bluebeard's Nest

Do our kids have Discordian fun?  You bet!

We invited everyone to join our Found Instrument Concert in the Park.  People
could play and bang on anything.  We heard pot drums, navy bean rattles, musical
spoons, paper and comb whistling, and several kazoos, which didn't fit the bill, but
we didn't mind as long as they had fun.  The music wasn't beautiful, but it was filled
with the sounds of Discord!

Where is Bluebeard's Nest?  Our nest sits quite nicely in the Tree of the Atlantic,
which should give you some hint.  If that's not enough, the tree is in Peddocks
Grove in Forest USA.  We are jazzed to be the first true Shamlicht Kids Club group,
as we were originally part of Shamlicht Boys which was formed before Shamlicht
Girls and Shamlicht Kids Club.  But what's important is not who plays first
instrument, but who's in the band!

I, Captain "Sesame Seed" Rogers, am the leader of our little band, but am looking
for a capable assistant.  If you live in the Tree of the Atlantic area, email us!  Our
loyal members are Sparky Newberg, Brassy McFarland, Jelly Beaner, Hot Dog
Joey, Whistler's Grandson (called Whistles), Spike, and Jokey.

We're all proud of Sparky Newberg, who co-wrote the lyrics for the SKC theme
song, "
Shamlicht Kids Club Song."  (The music was written by little old me.)  This
and other Discordian creations earned Sparky a merit badge for both Writing and
Music.

Hot Dog Joey was very deserving of a merit badge for Jockey.  Joey's been an
equestrian since before e could walk, and rides in harmony with es favorite mount,
the white and brown Sugar.

Our members are working on earning more badges, and I'm proud of them all!

Banding together in Discord,

Captain "Sesame Seed" Rogers
