Below is a 2008 report on the activities of a Shamlicht Kids Club nest. A nest is its smallest group, usually with five to 10 members. Some of these reports were made before the end of the year, so may be incomplete.
Nest of Pink Vipers
Hey kids! We call you kids because we're all kids in our dreams!
Our little nest has some fantabulous nestlings! Our members are bouncing with energy and enthusiasm which you'd expect from the first true nest of Shamlicht Kids Club! Our special family's done some wonderful things, and we have some wonderful plans!
We're working on a letter to send to gogoddess.com to celebrate Jake Day Jr. or Day of the Elppin which is May 23. You can join too! Their site is for preteen and teenage girls and helps them find their inner Goddess. Well, Eris is a Goddess too! So we'll be sending them several letters to arrive on that date asking them to add Eris to their pantheon! You can send emails if you want too, but our kids are decorating theres by hand!
We had a Discordian Fashion Show which was totally a hoot! The kids dressed up in whatever they could come up with. Then we appeared on the beach doing hula for the tourists! They didn't know what to think of kids wearing a tutu or a cheerleaders uniform or a Wonder Woman costume to do a traditional Hawaiian hula! Everyone had a great time, and we even talked to one couple about feathering a nest in their area!
Our Nest of Pink Vipers is in the group called Bent Palm Tree which you can find in Grove Pineapple Pineapple in Forest USA. Our members have all earned merit badges this year. Lani Lina Lian Lain wrote the words to the Shamlicht Kids Club song with a member of Bluebeard's Nest, so earned a merit badge for Poetry. Smaggie Mae earned a badge for playing a very important role in a school play. Connie Buttons earned one for Clowning in a very funny routine we wish you could see. It was hilarious! Francy Pants who we call Fran the Fan earned one for a wondrous collection called Discordian American Princesses, including signed photos or autographs from DAPs Miley Cyrus, Perlie the Pony Girl, Lindsay Lohan, and our own Pope Hilde. Princess Hodge Podge earned a badge for Animal Wifery, which some call Husbandry, for raising one poor little calico kitten named Chicky Kitty who's become our new mascot. And finally our nest's lone boy Matt earned a Jake badge for suggesting we send Discordian American Princess certificates to those who deserve one! If you'd like to play along, play!
