| Discordian Division of the Ek-sen-triks CluborGuild Snooze Letter June 2006: Part The Second “The End of the Beginning” issue discordia.loveshade.org WIKIPEDIA SAYS WE’RE A KEEPER! The debate is ended: the decision was made on the Wikipedia article “Discordian Works,” which features a description of Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia: The Tales of Shamlicht--the article stays! Thanks to all those faithful Wikipedian Discordians who gave reasons why the article, which now also tells about Book 5 (The Zenarchist’s CookBook), A Discordian Coloring Book, Novus Ordo Discordia, and Summa Universalia, should not be deleted. But given the volatile nature of Wikipedia, it could be up for deletion again tomorrow. So see it while you still can at www.en. wikipedia.org/wiki/Discordian_Works, or see a version on our site at discordia.loveshade. org/xtra/wikipedia_dw.html. A NEW SUBDOMAIN We’ll be working soon on our new subdomain at 23 Apples of Eris! We still aren’t sure what our subdomain will be called, but will let you know. If you haven’t checked Prince Mu-Chao’s site yet, visit it at www.23ae.com. Don’t be discouraged if you can’t link to it the first time--Mu-Chao is in the process of revamping some things to make a great site even better. INTERVIEW SAID WHAT? We are hopeful that the interview with our Episkopos Reverend Loveshade will be posted publicly online soon! Professional freelance writer Adam Newton interviewed the Rev. about our group, our site, our philosophy, our politics, and our legal problems. We’ll let you know when you can finally read the interview, hopefully soon. EK-SEN-TRIK-KUH DISCORDIA: WHAT? We had a lot of suggestions for the complete name for our book, which included (take a deep breath) Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia; Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia: The Tales of Shamlicht; Ek-sen-trik- kuh Discordia: The Tails of Shamlicht; Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia: The Myths of Shamlicht; Ek-sen- trik-kuh Discordia: The Myths of Shamlicht? (yes, with a question mark); Harmonia Discordia; and Discordia Harmonia. But we had more votes for one title than the others: Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia: The Tales of Shamlicht. It shows our Ek-sen-trik and Discordian roots, and is a joke reference to the “tails” that the bonobo apes gave to digest and spread. And it’s already listed that way on several sites, which makes it easy. And Shamlicht is relatively easy to type into a search engine. So be it! POETIC INHERITANCE IN TOILET HELL? The results are in for the submissions “Who the Hell is E?” by Reverend Loveshade, “Harmonian-Discordian Poetry” from Principia Harmonia and by the Mythics of Harmonia, and "Inheritance Scam" by Anonymous--they’re in the book! We had mixed feelings on "The Sacred Bowel Movement" by Dr. Sinister Craven. Some liked the humor and references, others thought we already had enough potty stuff. So the Hell article has already been posted to our site, and the Poetry and Scam will appear soon, hopefully this month. The Movement will go, for now, in Xtra Stuff. Congrats! BEGINNING OF THE END FOR REVEREND LOVESHADE? There's been an Internet rumor that Reverend Loveshade is a pseudonym for Robert Anton Wilson, and that e is on his death bed. Let us put this rumor to bed--we mean to rest. While no one can accurately predict the future (other than GameMaster Loveshade), we are hopeful to see new Discordian/Illuminated/Socio-political writings and rants and humor for years to come. Be in good health! ART COMPUTER The mysterious overseas benefactor came through, and Danacasso has a new computer! Our Minister of Deviant Art is working hard at figuring out how to use it (“Now what do I do with this three- foot long thin black snaky-looking thing with the square head with two teeth that look like flat prongs?”), but we look forward to some cool artwork soon! NUDE CARTOON PRINCESS As of right now, a search on search.netzero.net for nude cartoon princess yields us as the third listed site. We have no idea why. NEW STUFF BEGINNING ON OUR SITE In addition to “Who the Hell is E?” and “Discordian Works” mentioned above, we’ve posted “The Myth of the Nipples” by Max Flax Beeblewax, "The Cloved Lemon Kissing Game" by Princess Unicornia and Reverend Loveshade, and have added descriptions of Pet Loving Day, Multiversal Underwear Day, and Shamlicht Kids Club Day since our last Snooze Letter, in addition to slightly revising various other parts of our site. END OF OLD THE MARY DAY BEGINNING OF THE NEW? Princess Unicornia and Fairy Princess Yoshikyoko have suggested an addition to The Mary Day (proposed addition is in italics). Let us know what you think by 12 July 2006, although St. The Mary will make the final decision: PROPOSED NEW HOLYDAY: TOWEL DAY We recently learned that, since shortly after The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy author Douglas Adams died in 2001, Towel Day has been celebrated on May 25. (If you don’t know, every hitchhiker should always know where es towel is). We have some strong ties to the Guide. Ek-sen- triks CluborGuild co-founding Vice President Alien was known as a alien hitchhiking writer (like Guide contributor Ford Prefect), and our own missing member and galactic hitchhiker BloodStar was a contributor to the online version of the Guide, which is about as Discordian of a work you could find outside of Discordianism itself. Come to think of it, BloodStar and Douglas Adams have both been missing since 2001. Coincidence?
