| Discordian Division of the Ek-sen-triks CluborGuild Snooze Letter December 2009 The Rehash Issue discordia.loveshade.org This being The Rehash Issue, in which we provide you with fascinating updates to last issue's magnificence . ORDER OF THE PINEAPPLE: VOTING IN PROGRESS Thanks to those who submitted suggestions for nominees for the Order of the Pineapple (OP). This is our second oldest and most truly "this-gives-you-bragging-rights" DisOrder. Traditionally, it honors those who have made exceptional contributions of discord and eccentricity in service to the Discordian Division of the Ek-sen-triks CluborGuild and/or the estorical Ek-sen-triks CluborGuild. But the times they are a-changin'. As the original ECG faded into the grey mist years ago, as the Shamlicht Kids Club grew into reality, and has the neo-Discordians have become so interconnected, we've expanded it somewhat. However, some direct or indirect contribution to D & D of the ECG or the ECG, and service to the cause of discord and eccentric tendencies is still required. If you're a member, look for a list of nominees coming to an email near you very soon! Votes must be received by us by 12 January 2009 (GMT). While only current members of the Order can vote, anyone can help us. We are missing several years in which the OP may have been given. If you have any information on awardees from 1984 to 2006, please email us at the address listed or linked at the bottom of this Snooze Letter. 23AE.COM REVIVAL The revival has been a resounding success. See for yourself at Professor Mu-Chao's 23ae.com. PROPOSED DISCORDIAN SAINT We are still taking votes on the below through Pat Pineapple Day, 18 January 2009. The Mythics of Harmonia have proposed making Zoey Zane a Discordian Saint. For those who don't know, Emily Sander was known as a very sweet girl who was killed at the age of 18, and then was discovered to be the nude model and alleged "porn model" Zoey Zane. She was also friends with our Perlie the Pony Girl (see link to Perlie's tribute below). While we can't actually verify that Zoey ever called herself Discordian, she did get a tattoo of a five pointed star followed by five other stars, and accepted Perlie's suggestion that it was a Discordian tattoo. The two-year anniversary of Emily's death was 24 November, and her suspected killer Israel Mireles was recently formally charged. (Weirdly, the first true chapter of Shamlicht Kids Club, Purple Ferret's Nest, was formed that same day in 2007. Even weirder--this is true--is that only very recently did any of us realize Emily died the same day PFN was formed. Thanks to Princess "I'm no good with numbers but I'm good with dates" Unicornia for that.) The tribute by Emily's friend Perlie the Ponygirl is currently the third listed by Yahoo Search for "emily sander"--if you don't believe us, check search.yahoo.com/search?p=emily+sander&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-701. INTERMITTENS IS BACK For a while, trying to go to both Intermittens.info and Intermittens.org yielded the same thing--an error message (this is number two on our list of missing Discordian websites). Not anymore! It's works now.
