Below is a 2012 report on the activities of a Shamlicht Kids Club nest. A nest is its
smallest group, usually with five to 10 members. Some of these reports were made
before the end of the year, so may be incomplete.
Wildwood Beaver's Nest
We're happy to be the newest chapter of SKC and
started this year.
Our nest is part of Kentwood Tree, Love Grove, Forest UK (pronounced "Forest
Uck."). Our first event was an Erister Egg Hunt or rather an Erister Egg Hide. We
also visited a zoo and had a bookgasm, distributing Discordian and mind-blowing
books in places people would not expect to find them!
As our nestlers and nestlings are all members of the same commune, we have no
formal organization. Not that any chapter of SKC does. But for the record, our
nestlers are Reverend Loveshade and Ms M.C., and nestlings are Red Nosey, Dr.
Emma, and Puffle Toes Twinkleton. (Although sometimes people think Dr. Emma
is a leader and Loveshade is one of the kids).
Our biggest project here turning a section of a barn into a clubhouse. Of course
first we have to finish building the barn. That of course is a project of the whole
commune, which right now isn't much bigger than the club!
Our biggest project intergalactically is Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia: The Tales of
Shamlicht which finally got published! While Reverend Loveshade is listed as
author, many great people from inside and outside SKC contributed. Check the
book for a list!
